The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चित्तादृतेऽन्यद्यद्यस्ति तदचित्तस्य किं जगत् ।
सर्वस्य भूतजातस्य समग्रं प्रविलीयते ॥ ६५ ॥

cittādṛte'nyadyadyasti tadacittasya kiṃ jagat |
sarvasya bhūtajātasya samagraṃ pravilīyate || 65 ||

For where there is no mind, there is no perception of the outer world, nor does dull matter know of the existence of anything; but everything is extinct with the extinction of the mind.
