The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विस्तरेण मम ब्रह्मन् जडस्याप्यजडाकृतेः ।
रूपमारूढसंकल्पं मनसो वक्तुमर्हसि ॥ २ ॥

vistareṇa mama brahman jaḍasyāpyajaḍākṛteḥ |
rūpamārūḍhasaṃkalpaṃ manaso vaktumarhasi || 2 ||

Rama said:—Sir, I pray you will explain in length, regarding the immaterial mind as opposed to the material body, and its inseparable property of will or volition.
