The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.92.35

प्रतिभानुपदं चेतः क्षारेऽपि हि रसायनम् ।
दृष्ट्वा पीत्वा परां तृप्तिं याति वल्गति नृत्यति ॥ ३५ ॥

pratibhānupadaṃ cetaḥ kṣāre'pi hi rasāyanam |
dṛṣṭvā pītvā parāṃ tṛptiṃ yāti valgati nṛtyati || 35 ||

It is the conception of the mind, that makes the salt seem sweet to taste, by its giving a flavour to the salted food for our zest and delight.
