The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एकनाशे द्वयोरेव नाशोऽत्राभ्युपपद्यते ।
अवश्यं भवितुं मनोनाशे देहपरिक्षयः ॥ ६ ॥

ekanāśe dvayoreva nāśo'trābhyupapadyate |
avaśyaṃ bhavituṃ manonāśe dehaparikṣayaḥ || 6 ||

Or else why is it that the dissolution of the one, brings on the extinction of the other, such as the quietus of the mind is followed by the loss of bodily sensations?
