The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.90.9

श्रीभानुरुवाच ।
सुघनस्नेहसंबद्धमनस्कावेव शापतः ।
पतितौ भूतले वृक्षविच्युताविव पल्लवौ ॥ ९ ॥

śrībhānuruvāca |
sughanasnehasaṃbaddhamanaskāveva śāpataḥ |
patitau bhūtale vṛkṣavicyutāviva pallavau || 9 ||

The sol added:—This fascinated pair, that were over head and ears in love, then fell down by effect of the denunciation, as when the lopped branches fall upon the ground from the parent tree.
