The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ऊचुश्चेदं कथं तात सर्वदुःखोपमार्जनम् ।
पद्मासनं जगत्पूज्यं विरञ्चित्वमवाप्नुमः ॥ ३३ ॥

ūcuścedaṃ kathaṃ tāta sarvaduḥkhopamārjanam |
padmāsanaṃ jagatpūjyaṃ virañcitvamavāpnumaḥ || 33 ||

They said: How—O brother, can it be possible for us to attain to the state of Brahma, who is seated on his seat of lotuses, and is adored by all in this world?
