The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मधुमासरसाक्रान्तवृक्षवन्मुदितो भव ।
भगवन्देवदेवेश दश पुत्रा महाधियः ॥ १६ ॥

vipra uvāca |
madhumāsarasākrāntavṛkṣavanmudito bhava |
bhagavandevadeveśa daśa putrā mahādhiyaḥ || 16 ||

The brahman replied:—O Lord of gods, deign to favour me with ten intelligent male children. Let these be born of me to dispel all my sorrows.
