The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कस्त्वं कथमिदं जातं जगदेव जगन्ति च ।
यदि जानासि भगवंस्तदेतत्कथयानघ ॥ ३५ ॥

kastvaṃ kathamidaṃ jātaṃ jagadeva jaganti ca |
yadi jānāsi bhagavaṃstadetatkathayānagha || 35 ||
