The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अच्छेदादेकसत्ताया न भेदः फलबीजयोः ।
चिच्चेत्ययोश्च वार्यूर्म्योरिव वस्तुनि कश्चन ॥ १२ ॥
acchedādekasattāyā na bhedaḥ phalabījayoḥ |
ciccetyayośca vāryūrmyoriva vastuni kaścana || 12 ||
By the law of the continuity of the same essence, there is no difference in the nature of the seed and its fruit; so the intellect (chit) and the thoughts (chetyas), differ in nothing except in their forms; like the waves and water differing in external appearance, and not in the intrinsicality of their substance.
