The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.83.3

बहुवर्षगणेनैषा ध्यानाद्विरतिमागता ।
तत्रागत्य समस्तांस्तान्वध्याञ्जन्तून्सुसंचितान् ॥ ३ ॥

bahuvarṣagaṇenaiṣā dhyānādviratimāgatā |
tatrāgatya samastāṃstānvadhyāñjantūnsusaṃcitān || 3 ||

In the course of many years of her meditation, she used to come out of her cell at certain intervals, and call at the head quarters, for her capture of the collection of living creatures kept for her victims. (Man slaughter was not blamable on the part of the cannibal Rakshasi, though practising the yoga; nor was the eating of animal flesh reprehensible in Vasishtha himself, who had been a flesh eating yogi.
