The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

राक्षस्युवाच ।
अहो बत पवित्रेयं भवतोर्भाति शेमुषी ।
अनस्तमितसारेण प्रबोधार्केण भासिता ॥ ४ ॥

rākṣasyuvāca |
aho bata pavitreyaṃ bhavatorbhāti śemuṣī |
anastamitasāreṇa prabodhārkeṇa bhāsitā || 4 ||

The rakshasi said:—O how brightly shines the pure light of your understanding, it glows as serenely by its inward effulgence, as it is illuminated by the sun of intelligence.
