The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यदि कश्चिद्द्वितीयः स्यात्तदैकस्यैकता भवेत् ।
द्वैतैक्ययोर्मिथः सिद्धिरातपच्छाययोरिव ॥ ८३ ॥

yadi kaściddvitīyaḥ syāttadaikasyaikatā bhavet |
dvaitaikyayormithaḥ siddhirātapacchāyayoriva || 83 ||

If there be a duality, it is the one and its unity. The unity and duality of the universal soul, are both as true as the light and its shade joined together.
