The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.81.42

तथाप्याक्रान्तवान्विश्व ज्ञातो गोपायति क्षणात् ।
जगद्धानाकणं बाल इवाहो घनमायिता ॥ ४२ ॥

tathāpyākrāntavānviśva jñāto gopāyati kṣaṇāt |
jagaddhānākaṇaṃ bāla ivāho ghanamāyitā || 42 ||

Yet this all knowing spirit encompasses the world, knowing it to be a trifle, just as a child holds a particle of rice in his hand. This is an act of maya or delusion.
