The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.80.49

कटकत्वेऽकृतेऽदृष्टे सुवर्णत्वमिवाततम् ।
केवलं निर्मलं शुद्धं ब्रह्मैव परिदृश्यते ॥ ४९ ॥

kaṭakatve'kṛte'dṛṣṭe suvarṇatvamivātatam |
kevalaṃ nirmalaṃ śuddhaṃ brahmaiva paridṛśyate || 49 ||

It is by reversion of the attention from the visible form of the jewel to the real essence of the gem, that one is led to the sight of the pure light of the only One Brahma.
