The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.80.42

कृतवान्प्रागिदमहमिति बुद्धावुदेति हि ।
क्षणात्सत्यमसत्यं च दृष्टान्तः स्वप्नविभ्रमः ॥ ४२ ॥

kṛtavānprāgidamahamiti buddhāvudeti hi |
kṣaṇātsatyamasatyaṃ ca dṛṣṭāntaḥ svapnavibhramaḥ || 42 ||

That 'I have done this and that before', is an impression derived from the thought of our actual actions and activity at all times; but the truth thereof becomes as untrue as our doings in the dream.
