The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

निमेष एव कः कल्पः कः कल्पोऽपि निमेषकः ।
किं प्रत्यक्षमसद्रूपं किं चेतनमचेतनम् ॥ १० ॥

nimeṣa eva kaḥ kalpaḥ kaḥ kalpo'pi nimeṣakaḥ |
kiṃ pratyakṣamasadrūpaṃ kiṃ cetanamacetanam || 10 ||

To whom is a twinkling of the eye, as long as a Kalpa millennium; and a whole age but a moment? Who is he whose omnipresence is equal to his absence, and whose omniscience is alike his total ignorance?
