The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.78.6

सिंहवत्सर्ववेगेन पतन्त्यर्थे किलार्थिनः ।
त्यज संरम्भमारम्भं स्वसामर्थ्य प्रदर्शय ॥ ६ ॥

siṃhavatsarvavegena patantyarthe kilārthinaḥ |
tyaja saṃrambhamārambhaṃ svasāmarthya pradarśaya || 6 ||

It is the business of the brave to pounce at once like a lion upon his prey (and not to bark as a dog at a distance). Therefore leave off thy bragging and show us thy prowess at once.
