The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विपिने विपिनामौना नगरे सुप्तनागरा ।
वनेषु विसरद्वाता नीडेष्वस्पन्दपक्षिका ॥ ११ ॥

vipine vipināmaunā nagare suptanāgarā |
vaneṣu visaradvātā nīḍeṣvaspandapakṣikā || 11 ||

The foresters were silent in their native woods, and the citizens were fast asleep in the cities;the winds were howling in the forests, and the birds were at rest in their sylvan nests.
