The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्वभ्रेषु कौशिकस्यान्तर्वायसव्याहतारवा ।
तस्कराक्रान्तपर्यन्तग्राम्याक्रन्दनकर्कशा ॥ १० ॥

śvabhreṣu kauśikasyāntarvāyasavyāhatāravā |
taskarākrāntaparyantagrāmyākrandanakarkaśā || 10 ||

She heard the alternate and incessant cries of owls and crows in the hollows of trees; and listened also the shouts of robbers in the skirts, and the wailings of the villagers at a distance.
