The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.74.1

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
तस्य तत्रोर्ध्वशृङ्गस्य तस्यां भुवि महावनौ ।
ददर्श मध्यमां सूचीं प्रोत्थितां सशिखामिव ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
tasya tatrordhvaśṛṅgasya tasyāṃ bhuvi mahāvanau |
dadarśa madhyamāṃ sūcīṃ protthitāṃ saśikhāmiva || 1 ||

The god of the winds beheld Suchi standing erect, like a crest on the summit of the mountain, amidst that vast tract of the desert all around.
