The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मदिराम्भोधिवलयं तज्जलेचरसंस्थितम् ।
गोमेदद्वीपकटकं तन्मध्यविषयव्रजम् ॥ ५४ ॥

gomedadvīpakaṭakaṃ tanmadhyaviṣayavrajam || 54 ||
He next saw the Gomeda islands, surrounded by the sea of liquor with its marine animals; and the land abounding with cities and towns.
