The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सूच्याभिप्रेक्षिते याता मतिं द्रुमलतादयः ।
महातपस्विनीं सूचीं दृष्ट्वा नोत्कण्ठयन्ति के ॥ १५ ॥

sūcyābhiprekṣite yātā matiṃ drumalatādayaḥ |
mahātapasvinīṃ sūcīṃ dṛṣṭvā notkaṇṭhayanti ke || 15 ||

The trees and plants of the mountain forest, felt compassion for Suchi on seeing her in this plight; for who is there, that bears no sympathy for the pious devotee, or her penances and austerities?
