The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उत्थितः स्फारवेतालः कुर्वत्याः शान्तिमद्य मे ।
सर्वनाशोऽवदातेन प्रवृत्ताया ममोदिता ॥ १६ ॥

utthitaḥ sphāravetālaḥ kurvatyāḥ śāntimadya me |
sarvanāśo'vadātena pravṛttāyā mamoditā || 16 ||

I see the demon of despair rising before me, upon my penitence of this day; and threatening to make an end of this body, of which I have made an offering to him.
