The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.70.30

सर्वः स्वसंकल्पवशाल्लघुर्भवति वा गुरुः ।
कर्कट्योग्रं वपुस्त्यक्त्वा सूचीत्वमुररीकृतम् ॥ ३० ॥

sarvaḥ svasaṃkalpavaśāllaghurbhavati vā guruḥ |
karkaṭyograṃ vapustyaktvā sūcītvamurarīkṛtam || 30 ||

It was for the accomplishment of all these purposes of hers, whether they be great or little; that Karkati forsook her former big body, and took the form of the acute and small needle.
