The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.70.17

साग्रा संचिन्तयामास न सूचीरूपतुच्छताम् ।
चित्तमीहितमेवैकं पश्यन्त्यास्ते निरर्थकम् ॥ १७ ॥

sāgrā saṃcintayāmāsa na sūcīrūpatucchatām |
cittamīhitamevaikaṃ paśyantyāste nirarthakam || 17 ||

Her object was to have her food, and not the contemptible form of the pin; her heart desired one thing, and she found herself in another form, that was of no use to her purpose.
