Verse 3.67.80

ataḥ kalanā jātā saiva sphāratāṃ prāpya manaḥ saṃpannaṃ tenāhaṃbhāvaḥ kalpito nirvikalpapratyakṣarūpametatprathamaṃ tanmanastadahaṃ bhavati kṣipramahaṃśabdārthabhāvanāt || 80 ||

We are led to imagine the visible and mutable world, to have sprung from the invisible and immutable spirit, which manifested itself in the form of the mind that produced the Ego. Thus we have the visible from the invisible, and the mind and the ego from the same source. (The absolute Brahma manifesting itself in two forms, the mind or ego and nature or non-ego. The Ego of the mind is infinite, which produced the finite ego or human soul, personified as the first male.
