Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.67.58

अन्यत्ववेदनादन्यः परस्मादातिवाहिकः ।
ब्रह्मत्ववेदनाद्ब्रह्म सा संवित्तिर्हि नान्यजा ॥ ५८ ॥

anyatvavedanādanyaḥ parasmādātivāhikaḥ |
brahmatvavedanādbrahma sā saṃvittirhi nānyajā || 58 ||

As the notion of the spiritual, is distinct from that of all others which are material and corporeal; so the notion of Brahma is quite apart from every thing, except that of his self-consciousness.
