एवं स्थिते मुनिश्रेष्ठ दैवं नाम किमुच्यते ।
किमुच्यते तथा कर्म कारणं च किमुच्यते ॥ ५ ॥

śrīrāma uvāca |
evaṃ sthite muniśreṣṭha daivaṃ nāma kimucyate |
kimucyate tathā karma kāraṇaṃ ca kimucyate || 5 ||

Rama said:—Such being the case, tell me, O thou greatest of sages, what this predestination means and what are these acts, and how they become the causal agents of subsequent events.
