The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथा द्वित्वं शशाङ्कादौ पश्यत्यक्षिमलाविलम् ।
चिच्चेतनकलाक्रान्ता तथैव परमात्मनि ॥ ७ ॥

yathā dvitvaṃ śaśāṅkādau paśyatyakṣimalāvilam |
ciccetanakalākrāntā tathaiva paramātmani || 7 ||

As the one moon appears as two to the dimsighted eye, so the intellect, vitiated by influence of the senses, sees a duality in the unity of the supreme spirit.
