The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्पन्दितव्यं पदार्थेन भाव्यं वा भोक्तृतापदम् ।
अनेनेत्थमनेनेत्थमवश्यमिति दैवधीः ॥ १९ ॥

spanditavyaṃ padārthena bhāvyaṃ vā bhoktṛtāpadam |
anenetthamanenetthamavaśyamiti daivadhīḥ || 19 ||

The meaning of Destiny, comprises the knowledge of the causes, which move, support and sustain all things in their proper order; and that such and such causes, must produce such and such effects for ever.
