The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न सर्गे तिष्ठति परं सर्गस्तिष्ठति नो परे ।
अवयवावयविवत्सत्तानवयवैस्तयोः ॥ १० ॥

na sarge tiṣṭhati paraṃ sargastiṣṭhati no pare |
avayavāvayavivatsattānavayavaistayoḥ || 10 ||

Neither does the Spirit of God reside in the creation, nor does the creation subsist in the Divine Spirit (like waves in the waters);nor is there such relation as of a part with the whole between them.
