The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विकीर्णापादितक्षौमं मन्त्रिसामन्तनागरैः ।
स्थूलपद्ममयं व्योम रक्तैस्ताण्डविनीकरैः ॥ ८ ॥

vikīrṇāpāditakṣaumaṃ mantrisāmantanāgaraiḥ |
sthūlapadmamayaṃ vyoma raktaistāṇḍavinīkaraiḥ || 8 ||

The red turbans of joy on the heads of the chiefs and host of citizens, and the waving of the reddish palms of dancing girls, filled the sky with a bed of red lotuses.
