The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथा लोष्टो लुठद्वृक्षं वञ्चयित्वाशु गच्छति ।
अज्ञानत्वेऽजपशवस्तथा ह्यस्ति पुरादिकम् ॥ ४१ ॥

yathā loṣṭo luṭhadvṛkṣaṃ vañcayitvāśu gacchati |
ajñānatve'japaśavastathā hyasti purādikam || 41 ||

As a stone flung at random flies off from its mark, so the brutish and ignorant folks go astray, from hitting at the true mark of a thing placed before them.
