The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
एवमेतन्महाबाहो सत्यात्मन्न कदाचन ।
महाप्रलयसर्गादौ देशकालौ न कौचन ॥ ४२ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
evametanmahābāho satyātmanna kadācana |
mahāpralayasargādau deśakālau na kaucana || 42 ||

Vasishtha replied:—It is true, O long-armed Rama, that there was neither time nor place in the beginning, when the Spirit of God was without its will.
