यथा वासनया जन्तोर्विषमप्यमृतायते ।
असत्यः सत्यतामेति पदार्थो भावनात्तथा ॥ ३१ ॥

yathā vāsanayā jantorviṣamapyamṛtāyate |
asatyaḥ satyatāmeti padārtho bhāvanāttathā || 31 ||

It is the thought of a man, that makes the poison savour as nectar to his taste; and it is his very thought that makes an untruth seem as truth to him.
