The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.55.48

प्रथमोऽसौ प्रतिस्पन्दः पदार्थानां हि बिम्बकम् ।
प्रतिबिम्बितमेतस्माद्यत्तदद्यापि संस्थितम् ॥ ४८ ॥

prathamo'sau pratispandaḥ padārthānāṃ hi bimbakam |
pratibimbitametasmādyattadadyāpi saṃsthitam || 48 ||

These forms were manifested in the divine spirit, at first as his will; and then exhibited in the phenomenal world, as reflections of the same, in all their present forms.
