भवन्ति षड्विधाः प्रेतास्तेषां भेदमिमं श्रृणु ।
सामान्यपापिनो मध्यपापिनः स्थूलपापिनः ॥ ११ ॥

bhavanti ṣaḍvidhāḥ pretāsteṣāṃ bhedamimaṃ śrṛṇu |
sāmānyapāpino madhyapāpinaḥ sthūlapāpinaḥ || 11 ||

The departed spirits are classed in six orders, as you shall now hear from me; namely, the great, greater and greatest sinners, and so likewise the three degrees of the virtuous.
