The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.54.72

एवं न कश्चिन्म्रियते जायते न च कश्चन ।
वासनावर्तगर्तेषु जीवो लुठति केवलम् ॥ ७२ ॥

evaṃ na kaścinmriyate jāyate na ca kaścana |
vāsanāvartagarteṣu jīvo luṭhati kevalam || 72 ||

So there is none that dies, nor any one that is born at any time; it is this living principle only that continually revolves in the deep eddy of its desires.
