The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.54.61

न विशत्येव वातो न निर्याति पवनो यदा ।
शरीरनाडीवैधुर्यान्मृत इत्युच्यते तदा ॥ ६१ ॥

na viśatyeva vāto na niryāti pavano yadā |
śarīranāḍīvaidhuryānmṛta ityucyate tadā || 61 ||

When there is no ingress nor egress of the vital air, the pulse sinks and becomes motionless, and the body is said to become senseless, and the life to be extinct.
