The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रबुद्धलीलोवाच ।
मरणं मे समासेन कथयेन्दुसमानने ।
किं सुखं मरणं किं वा दुःखं मृत्वा च किं भवेत् ॥ ३४ ॥

prabuddhalīlovāca |
maraṇaṃ me samāsena kathayendusamānane |
kiṃ sukhaṃ maraṇaṃ kiṃ vā duḥkhaṃ mṛtvā ca kiṃ bhavet || 34 ||

Lila said:—Tell me in short, O moon-faced goddess! something more with regard to death; as to whether it is a pleasure or pain to die, and what becomes of us after we are dead and gone from here.
