The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.54.26

खत्वं जलत्वमुर्वीत्वमग्निवायुत्वमप्यसत् ।
वेत्त्यन्तः स्वप्नसंकल्पध्यानेष्विव चितिः स्वयम् ॥ २६ ॥

khatvaṃ jalatvamurvītvamagnivāyutvamapyasat |
vettyantaḥ svapnasaṃkalpadhyāneṣviva citiḥ svayam || 26 ||

The ideas of the reality of earth, air, fire and water are all false; and the intellect perceives them within itself, as its false dreams and desires and reveries.
