The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीदेव्युवाच ।
श्रृणु सर्वं समासेन यथापृष्टं वदामि ते ।
लीले लीलास्ववृत्तान्तमन्तदं दृश्यदुर्दशम् ॥ २५ ॥

śrīdevyuvāca |
śrṛṇu sarvaṃ samāsena yathāpṛṣṭaṃ vadāmi te |
līle līlāsvavṛttāntamantadaṃ dṛśyadurdaśam || 25 ||

The goddess replied:—Hear Lila, what I will relate to thee in brief in answer to thy question, regarding the life and death of this Lila as an image of thyself.
