The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पलायमानसाक्रन्दं मार्गाहृतवधूगणम् ।
अन्योन्यलुण्ठनव्यग्रलोकलग्नमहाभयम् ॥ ३ ॥

palāyamānasākrandaṃ mārgāhṛtavadhūgaṇam |
anyonyaluṇṭhanavyagralokalagnamahābhayam || 3 ||

The weeping damsels that were flying for fear, were ravished on the way by their captors; and the inhabitants were in danger of being plundered of their properties by one another.
