The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.50.43

पद्मरागगिरिद्योतमिवर्द्धासृग्विमुञ्चति ।
हा हा धिक्कष्टमेतेन सिन्धुना खड्गधारया ॥ ४३ ॥

padmarāgagiridyotamivarddhāsṛgvimuñcati |
hā hā dhikkaṣṭametena sindhunā khaḍgadhārayā || 43 ||

See him weltering in blood gushing out profusely from his body, like a rubicund stream issuing from a hill of rubies. Woe is me! and cursed be the sword of Sindhu that hath brought this misery on us.
