The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.50.41

हृदि स्फोटशिलापट्टदृढे पीवरमूर्धनि ।
भित्त्वा वज्रसमैर्बाणैः पातयत्येव भूतले ॥ ४१ ॥

hṛdi sphoṭaśilāpaṭṭadṛḍhe pīvaramūrdhani |
bhittvā vajrasamairbāṇaiḥ pātayatyeva bhūtale || 41 ||

His strong breast-plate is broken also by slabs of stone and his big head is pierced by pointed arrows. Behold him thrown down on earth, all mangled in blood.
