The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.50.37

कष्टं वज्रमिवेन्द्रेण मुसलं सिन्धुनेक्षितम् ।
जवात्पतिः प्रयातो मे सैन्धवं मुसलायुधम् ॥ ३७ ॥

kaṣṭaṃ vajramivendreṇa musalaṃ sindhunekṣitam |
javātpatiḥ prayāto me saindhavaṃ musalāyudham || 37 ||

Alack! our lord is now made the mark of Sindhu's mallet darted as a thunder bolt against him; but lo! how he flies off and avoids the deadly blow of Sindhu.
