The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.50.30

अप्रियस्य यथा भर्तुरनिच्छन्ती स्वकामिनी ।
तेन शक्तिप्रहारेण नासौ मरणमाप्तवान् ॥ ३० ॥

apriyasya yathā bharturanicchantī svakāminī |
tena śaktiprahāreṇa nāsau maraṇamāptavān || 30 ||

But the weapon fell back by hitting upon his breast plate, as a damsel flies back from the embrace of a lover deemed an unfit match for her.
