The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.50.28

दन्तमालेयमस्येव बले चर्वयतः प्रजाः ।
शक्तिमादाय चिक्षेप खङ्गं त्यक्त्वा विदूरथः ॥ २८ ॥

dantamāleyamasyeva bale carvayataḥ prajāḥ |
śaktimādāya cikṣepa khaṅgaṃ tyaktvā vidūrathaḥ || 28 ||

With their denticulated weapons, they tore the bodies of their enemies like fishes crushed under the teeth, when Viduratha dropt down his broken sword, and darted his javelin against his adversary.
