The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.50.23

अन्योन्यं शममायाते सवीर्ये सुभटाविव ।
एतस्मिन्नन्तरे सोऽग्नी रथं कृत्वा तु भस्मसात् ॥ २३ ॥

anyonyaṃ śamamāyāte savīrye subhaṭāviva |
etasminnantare so'gnī rathaṃ kṛtvā tu bhasmasāt || 23 ||

The two Kings were thus harassing each other like two brave champions in their contest, when the chariot of Sindhu was reduced to ashes by its flame.
