The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रिष्टारिष्टप्रशमनभ्रमत्कुन्तेन्दुमण्डलम् ।
प्रासप्रसरसंरब्धप्रोद्यतान्तकृतान्तकम् ॥ १२ ॥

riṣṭāriṣṭapraśamanabhramatkuntendumaṇḍalam |
prāsaprasarasaṃrabdhaprodyatāntakṛtāntakam || 12 ||

The lances revolved like the halo of the moon, repelling the black sword-blades as darkness, and the swift missiles flashed as the destructive fires of Yama.
